The Neoliberal Education Working Group was created in late 2007 to focus on the ways in which education is changing in the UK and more widely.

Among the interests of the group are:

Business involvement in the curriculum through 'Enterprise Education' and other initiatives.

The role of Private Finance Initiative/Public Private Partnerships in school building programmes.

Healthy eating, vending machines, marketing and branding in schools.

Citizenship education.

The role of the private sector in running schools both through the 'Academy Schools' in England and through special schools in Scotland.

Neoliberal reforms in the Higher Education sector including the business role in the universities.

Poverty and inequality and their effects on education attainment.
